Pourquoi certains élèves acquièrent-ils les savoirs fondamentaux plus facilement que d&amp;rsquo;autres ? Pourquoi les écarts de réussite persistent-ils malgré les politiques publiques destinées à les réduire ? Et ces écarts relèvent-ils avant tout de l&amp;rsquo;école, de la famille, des caractéristiques individuelles des élèves, ou de l&amp;rsquo;interaction entre ces différents facteurs ?&lt;/p>
&lt;p>&lt;em>Inégalités scolaires : approche croisée entre sociologie et psychologie cognitive&lt;/em>, que nous avons codirigé avec &lt;a href="https://bbl-lab.fr/author/clea-girard/">Cléa Girard&lt;/a> et Stanislas Morel, aborde ces questions d&amp;rsquo;une manière inédite. Plutôt que de juxtaposer les points de vue disciplinaires, chaque chapitre est coécrit par un sociologue et un psychologue cognitiviste, afin de rendre visibles les complémentarités entre les deux disciplines.&lt;/p>
&lt;p>Les contributions explorent les interactions entre environnement familial, développement cognitif, pratiques pédagogiques et apprentissages scolaires. Les différents chapitres abordent la construction des compétences scolaires, les lectures partagées, la génétique comportementale, l&amp;rsquo;école maternelle, les difficultés d&amp;rsquo;apprentissage de la lecture, ou encore la dyslexie.&lt;/p>
&lt;p>L&amp;rsquo;ouvrage est né du séminaire international sur les inégalités scolaires que nous coorganisons avec Stanislas Morel, et qui réunit sociologues et spécialistes des sciences cognitives depuis 2022.&lt;/p>

Les personnes dyscalculiques peuvent éprouver des difficultés à saisir la notion de nombre et les relations entre les nombres, à mémoriser les faits arithmétiques, à effectuer des calculs, et à gérer les situations du quotidien qui font intervenir les nombres.&lt;/p>
&lt;p>Pour aider chacun à mieux comprendre ce que cela représente, notre équipe a conçu une série de six petits jeux qui suivent le déroulé d&amp;rsquo;une journée, du réveil au goûter. Chacun transforme une activité quotidienne ordinaire en une énigme laborieuse, à l&amp;rsquo;image de ce que les nombres peuvent devenir pour une personne dyscalculique :&lt;/p>

&lt;p>Chaque jeu est accompagné de deux pages d&amp;rsquo;instructions : l&amp;rsquo;une pour les parents, qui explique les règles et le lien du jeu avec la dyscalculie, et l&amp;rsquo;autre pour les enfants, qui en présente les points essentiels.&lt;/p>
&lt;p>Une précision importante, que nous rappelons dans le livret lui-même : les personnes dyscalculiques ne perçoivent pas littéralement le monde de la façon dont ces jeux le représentent. Les jeux visent à illustrer l&amp;rsquo;effort mental supplémentaire nécessaire pour donner du sens à certaines notions mathématiques, et non à simuler le trouble.&lt;/p>
